Oaxaca is a magical city. The skies are deep blue in the heart of the valley. Women in embroidered huipiles, colourful houses, flowers on the trees, parades and local people garnish the streets. And then there’s the street art.
We will be walking around 3 neighbourhoods of the city visiting interesting spots, art workshops, and of course… street art. They are everywhere: big murals, stencils, posters. Oaxacan Artists are abundant and very talented. Its like visiting an outdoor museum.
STREET ART BIKE RIDE
The street art in Oaxaca is vast: talented artists, different techniques, messages, protests, etc. We will be cycling around 3 neighbourhoods of the city visiting interesting spots, art workshops, and of course… street art. We are visiting some of the most controversial workshops in the city.
During the ride we will have time to share a local and organic drink or snack.
LIVE DAY OF THE DEAD
Enjoy a journey filled with tradition and culture in the city of Oaxaca and its surrounding communities. Celebrate Day of the Dead with families of artisans who open their doors to us to share with us this incredible tradition. The celebrations, parades, colors, skies, altars, flowers, aromas, and seasonal fruits will accompany you in a once in a lifetime experience.
On this experience you will get to know mezcal in depth, its history, context, variety, processes, mysticism, etc. We start by walking trough trails in nature where the producers select their agaves while we enjoy photographical landscapes. Afterwards, we¡ll go to the palenque (mezcal distillery), where, while drinking artisanal mezcal, we experience process of cooking, grinding, distilling and tasting more.
