WHAT YOU’LL DO

We meet at 7:00 AM in Macedonio Alcalá 802, Centro, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, ring the bell ‘’A’’, between Bicibella and Café Punto Paz.

A van with our bikes will pick us up, and drive to the town San Pablo Cuatro Venados.

The small community is rarely visited by outsiders (we still don’t understand why). It is nested right in the middle of a pine forest, where both of the gorgeous waterfalls that we will visit  are.

Upon greeting our local friends, we will enjoy a local breakfast before beginning our 8 km hike. We will walk through the forest that is abundant with diverse plant and animal species, while stopping at both of the waterfalls. Bring your swimsuit and towel, for a cold plunge that will awaken our spirit before continuing the hike.

At 14:00 we should be arriving at the local comedor (community restaurant) for a hearty meal, trout from the river is available upon request. Recharge and prepare for our scenic mountain bike ride down the mountain.

 The bike ride is a 15 km scenic descend with jaw-dropping views of the Valley, every corner we turn you will want to stop for a picture. Overlooking the city of Oaxaca and the neighboring towns, you will get a one-of-a-kind perspective of true Oaxacan life. The ride finishes down in the valley at Ex-Hacienda San José.
