Ultimate Hierve Hike + Teotitlán rugs

Guided Hike: 7 km / Fitness level: Intermediate / Group Size: Up to 8 people

Meet at 6:30 AM in Oaxaca City! The idea is to beat the crowds… this place is spectacular when there is nobody else.

We will drive 1:20hrs to San Isidro Roaguía; a delicious local breakfast will be waiting for us with Emelia and Reynaldo’s family. Then, a 5 minutes drive will get us to amazing Hierve el Agua.

There are many stories about this Natural Wonder. We’ll have plenty of time to enjoy this paradise. Wonder around, meditate, take pictures, relax, swim… and we will then begin the 5km hike down the valley until we reach another secret hidden oasis awaits! (a real waterfall unknown to most travellers, hidden inside an enigmatic small canyon). For most, it is the highlight of the day.

The 5km hike is through rough terrain, mostly downhill (70%). We highly recommend using your favourite hiking shoes, but sneakers are also OK.

When we arrive at this waterfall oasis, the car will be waiting for us there with refreshing drinks. You will have the opportunity to swim at this spot, which will feel so amazingly fresh under the hot Oaxacan sun.

We will then go to Teotitlan del Valle, a world-famous town where colourful weavings are produced my local families. We will visit Josefina’s home for an authentic artistic and cultural experience that will be difficult to forget. The traditional food will be served in her house just next to the looms.

Adults (13 +): $2,100 MXN
Kids (- 12): $1,050 MXN
