Street Art bike ride
Guided City Bike Route: 5 km / Fitness level: Easy / Group Size: Up to 12 people
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Join us at the Coyote Aventuras Office at 9:00 a.m. for our Street Art Bike Tour in Oaxaca. After we get to know each other, we’ll provide you with your bike for the morning. Our friends at Bicibella and your guide will help you get the right fit. Once everyone is ready, we’ll set off to explore the city on wheels.
Biking through Oaxaca offers a unique and exciting way to explore the city and its surroundings. On this tour, we’ll visit 3 different Oaxacan neighborhoods, stopping at murals, silkscreens, stencils, and important messages that bring the walls to life.
As we bike through the historic streets, adorned with colorful murals, graffiti, and street art installations, we’ll immerse ourselves in the stories and inspirations behind each piece. From striking political statements to representations of indigenous symbols, each mural tells a story of Oaxaca’s rich heritage and contemporary issues.
WHAT YOU’LL DO(…CONTINUE)
Your expert guide will take you to hidden gems and highlights of street art, providing insights into the techniques, styles, and themes that prevail in Oaxacan street art. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to interact with local artists, learn about their creative process, and gain a deeper understanding of the social, cultural, and political issues that drive their work.
Experience the transformation of public spaces into vibrant galleries, where walls serve as canvases for artistic expression and community engagement. The streets tell stories of resistance, highlighting the achievements of revolutionary figures in Mexico’s turbulent history.
We’ll return to the Coyote Aventuras Office at 1:00 p.m.
