Bike ride to the beach

Guided Hike: 5 km / Fitness level: intermediate / Group Size: Up to 8 people

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Wake up early, and will meet us at 6:30 AM in Oaxaca City! The idea is to beat the crowds… this place is spectacular when there is nobody else.

We will drive 1:20 hours to the town of San Isidro Roaguía, where Emelia and Reynaldo are waiting for us with a delicious and local breakfast. Then, 5 minutes drive will get us to amazing Hierve el Agua.

Once we arrive at Hierve el Agua, we will explain the stories behind this natural wonder, and we will have enough time to enjoy this paradise. Wonder around, meditate, take panoramic pictures, relax, swim… and we will then begin the 5 km hike down the valley until we reach a secret and non touristic waterfall.

The 5km hike is through rough terrain, mostly downhill (70%). We highly recommend using your favorite hiking shoes, but sneakers are OK too. We don’t recommend using sandals.

When we arrive to the secret waterfall, our van will be waiting for us there with refreshing drinks. You will have the opportunity to swim at this amazing spot, which will feel so amazingly fresh after the 2 hour hike.

After the swim, a local woman from the town will meet us to offer a us a healthy and traditional food.

Next stop: we visit a Local family on their Mezcal Distillery where thy will demonstrate the mezcal, traditions, process and lucky for us, we are having a tasting.
