WHAT YOU’LL DO

We meet at 11:00 AM in Macedonio Alcalá 802, Centro, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, ring the bell ‘’A’’, between Bicibella and Café Punto Paz.

Teotitlán is a small village located 31 km east from Oaxaca City. The name Teotitlán comes from the indigenous language, Nahuatl, which means “land of the gods.”

Teotitlán main square has a beautiful plaza, a charming church and artisanal craft shops, where you can observe some of Teotitlan’s traditional zapotec rugs and other arts and crafts.

A few blocks away, Josefina and her family will be waiting for us to serve lunch with traditional local dishes such as mole and memelitas. In this same space, the family has their textile workshop where they will demonstrate their incredible artisanal skills.

Finish off this perfect day with a sunset hike reaching the top of Picacho mountain for a 360 view of the valley and surrounding mountains. This sunset will surely be one of the most memorable experiences on your trip to Oaxaca.
