LATUVI – LACHATAO

El Camino Real (18km), was once a prehispanic path that connected the Zapotec region of the Sierra Norte with the Central Valley.  This trail is an ancient relic of extensive Mesoamerican trade routes that expanded across what we now call México, connecting advanced indigenous civilizations such as the Teotihuacanos, Mayas, and Olmecs from the Gulf of México to the Pacific via Oaxaca.  Transport yourself through time as you retrace the footsteps of Oaxaca’s ancestors, observing the lush vegetation and mystical moss that is typical of this clouded forest ecosystem.
