While Oaxaca City blurs the reality of how most people live in rural Mexico, including the Oaxacan sierra and valleys, Coyote MTB provides a fresh perspective. Mountain biking through and between small communities shares a bigger picture of Oaxaca where class stratification is potent and cultural richness and diversity are deeply celebrated. Find ease in how Coyote MTB mindfully shares these hidden paradises and experiences while always supporting and collaborating with the local community to maximize your mountain bike adventure.

Skill level of rider:
Never tried mountain biking or still gaining the basics of rolling over obstacles and controlling speed with both front and back brakes. Most comfortable riding at slow speeds and looking at the scenery while pedaling. Pedaling for 2-3 hours is an ideal day.
Beginner / Intermediate:
Still building confidence through steeper and technical terrain yet comfortable pushing yourself up soft inclines and rolling over ruts, potholes and roots. Can manage gear shifting on downhill or flat terrain while pedaling for 3-4 hours in one day.
A classic “cross country” rider. Enjoy the workout of the uphill push but gladly take on downhill singletrack while lifting up the front tire or rolling over mid-sized obstacles and dismounting at more technical sections. Can ride cross-country terrain for 4-5 hours/day or more if across smoother dirt-road terrain.
Confident in gaining and controlling velocity while lifting up, catching air, rolling over, or pumping through obstacles at higher speeds, anticipating terrain and shifting gears accordingly. Ready to pedal for 4-6 hours in one or throughout consecutive days
