E-Bike Tour: From the pueblos mancomunas to Unión Zapata.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We meet at 7:00 AM in Macedonio Alcalá 802, Centro, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, ring the bell ‘’A’’, between Bicibella and Café Punto Paz.

This challenging 35-40 km ride starts in the Sierra Norte area and ends in Unión Zapata, where Don Jerónimo awaits us with a good mezcal and a delicious Tlayuda.

Our bikes and helmets are in perfect condition. We care about safety.

We will start with the van ride to the Archaeological Zone of Dainzú to begin the bike ride. The first part of the tour is from the Archaeological Zone to the Teotitlán market where we will have our first meal.

Our route passes through several communities: Macuilxóchitl, Teotitlán del Valle, Santa Ana del Valle, Díaz Ordaz, Tlacolula and ending in Unión Zapata.

We will continue on our way to Union Zapata, where a short break awaits us in a beautiful agave field, we take a small snack in the shade of a tree surrounded by nopales and agaves.

Arriving at Union Zapata, Don Jeronimo will be waiting for us at his house, with a good mezcal tasting and a delicious tlayuda prepared while we learn all about the work he does to obtain the mezcal.
